About

Raised as a “country girl”  in northern Maryland, I fell in love with animals, books and the mystical world of magick from a small child. My mother being born and raised in Northern Ireland, along with the discovery of my father having American Indian ancestry, my fascination for both cultures quickly led my imagination to run wild.

Patty wearing kiltMy love for the Chronicles of Narnia Series, written by the famous, C.S. Lewis (this well known author was also from Northern Ireland), inspired me to begin creating magical realms and characters of my own. With my Mum’s help in teaching me how to read, I soon became compelled to start exploring as many books as I could get my hands on.  My dream of becoming a published writer has always tugged at my heart. With the support and encouragement from my beloved husband over these past years, his faith in me gave me the motivation to make my dream finally come true.

Even though my passion to work with white wolves didn’t become a reality, I consider myself very fortunate to have been “owned and loved” by a pack of Samoyeds for over 20 years.

In my spare time, I can be found sitting beside one of my favorite spinning wheels, blending exotic fibers.  And yes, thanks to my beloved, Irish Mom, I do believe in the little people and fairies – just ask me!

A “wee bit” about my parents . . . . . .

Coming from a family of storytellers, I feel blessed to carry on my beloved Mum’s belief in the wee people and enchanting fairies, and her love for both her Irish and Scottish heritage.  When growing up, I was fortunate to hear tales of the charming wee ones, the mischievous leprechauns, the magical creatures and brownies of Scotland, including the Brown Man of the Muirs, dragons, selkies, witches, and much more.  In loving memory to my parents, I’m proud to share a few photos.   My beloved Mum, Evelyn Vance Taylor, served in the British Army during WWII, where she met and fell in love with my handsome Daddy, Luther M. Taylor, an American Sergeant.  Her love, strength and courage helped inspire me to pursue my own dreams.  I will always admire her courage to travel to a strange country and begin a new life with the man she fell in love with to start a family of their own.
